SO, WHAT IS PRP & HOW DOES IT WORK?

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)

is a non-surgical hair regrowth treatment that can effectively address thinning hair and hair loss in both men and women. Losing one's hair can be a distressing experience that can impact self-esteem. PRP treatment stimulates the growth of existing hair follicles, resulting in fuller, healthier-looking hair without the need for surgery, making it the most natural way to encourage hair growth.

PRP is an ideal treatment option for hair loss caused by a lack of cell renewal in the scalp since it stimulates the production of new, healthy cells. The treatment is simple, natural, and provides safe, reliable results with minimal discomfort and quick recovery. PRP hair treatments have a high success rate and can significantly increase hair regrowth while reducing hair dystrophy, burning, or itching sensations. PRP can also serve as a safe and effective treatment for alopecia areata (AA).

While alternative non-surgical treatments are available, individual results vary with each patient, I will evaluate the most suitable option based on individual circumstances. Before your PRP treatment, during our consultation; I will need to examine your  hair and scalp, and I will also require a brief medical history and a health evaluation in order to develop a tailored treatment plan.

The PRP procedure involves drawing 30-60 ml of blood from the arm, which is then placed in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the blood components. Next, 3-6 ml of platelet-rich plasma is extracted and injected into the scalp via microinjections. The procedure usually takes between 30 to 60 minutes, and there is no downtime, allowing patients to return to their daily routine immediately. However, it is recommended to avoid strenuous activity and alcohol consumption for 24 hours post-procedure.

The results of PRP treatment are typically visible within two to three months after the procedure. Depending on the type and extent of hair loss, a course of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is usually recommended for hair restoration. Subsequently, a maintenance session once a year may be suggested based on your individual needs.

I offer a complete package of treatment including the PRP injections as a course of three, in addition to each session you will also receive Biotin Injections that can encourage healthy levels of biotin within the body that that will boost the body's Keratin infrastructure and revive hair follicles leading to a decrease in hair loss and shinier and thicker hair. 

The session will be completed with a Dermalux Tri Wave MD LED light therapy treatment for the scalp area.

The appointments will take 15 hours in total so please allow this time frame per session.
